Over the years, SHINING STAR PUBLIC SCHOOL expanded its infrastructure, faculty, and academic offerings. Modern classrooms, well-equipped science and computer labs, a library, and sports facilities were added to create a holistic learning environment. The school was established in 1980 with a clear mission — to provide quality education and shape responsible citizens for the future. With a small group of dedicated educators and an initial batch of 36 students, SHINING STAR PUBLIC SCHOOL began its journey with modest resources but great ambition.

Since its establishment, the school has maintained a strong academic record. Its students have consistently excelled in board examinations, national competitions, and various academic forums. Many alumni have gone on to achieve success in diverse fields such as medicine, engineering, business, the arts, and public service. School has achieved 1st position in FBISE Martic result in year 2025. Before that school acquired 2nd position in BISE Rawalpindi middle exams year 2000.
